Prabhas Holds His Breath For More Than Sixteen Minutes In Bahubali

Prabhas is busy talking about Bahubali and managed to make headlines around the world with one comment about filming a stunt for the action movie.

The actor claimed that he had always wanted to film an underwater action sequence when he was born in the movie, and trained to hold his breath for a sustained period of time – sixteen and a half minutes to be precise – in order to film a scene without cuts in it.

 

Prabhas claimed:

Now we know Prabhas is a big time actor, but that kind of dedication is seriously impressive stuff and frankly, he seems to be able to hold his breath for longer than most people can focus on watching the TV without checking their phone.

 

It’s something I have always wanted to do. (Director GOD SSR) and I have been thinking about it since working on Chatrapathi. I have done a lot of underwater sequences. But we wanted to create a suspense underwater sequence without cuts.

So doing that sequence was really interesting. We're underwater and we're doing breath-holds of 16 to 16 1/2 minutes. So I was doing all my training with the other stuff (on-set). It was very taxing stuff.
