Anta Assamey
The pandemic in both the Telugu states is not under control but both the state governments already announced a lot of relaxations to the public. In Telangana, there have been reports about the discrepancies in the number of corona cases being reported every single day. Whatever it may be, it is very clear that the pandemic in the Telangana state, especially in Hyderabad did not come to an end. There is no decline in the number of cases per day. But, it seems like Corona can’t stop Hyderabadis from having great fun in public places. The opening of the Durgam Cheruvu cable-bridge for visitors has now become a controversy with people gathering in large numbers. Durgam Cheruvu cable-bridge is definitely a great tourist attraction that we should not afford to miss, but this is not the right time. Director of Public Health Dr. G Srinivasa Rao shared concern on the same as dozens of people are thronging to this tourist attraction. What’s more worrying is that no one is wearing a mask and no one is following the social distancing norms. It is high time that the citizens should feel self-responsible and avoid crowded places. Many people on social media are sharing these pictures and saying that Hyderabadis lack responsibility which seems true. If the same continues, we are going to witness more Corona Cases.
