I dont understand this free home scheme. Even majority of middle class don't have own homes in india.

Instead of spending 10-20 lakhs on each home, government can spend that money on other programs which will benefit more people.

ante poor people bathakoodada man

encroached lands ki pedda builders ki permits istunna govt ni emi anaru but poor people ki isthe matram lot of comments

Only thing I would suggest in this is to not allow them to resell as some people will sell and go somewhere else to settle , if they can live in the house then it will be a great win for the govt

It is scheme for everyone bro including middle class , if one can prove that they don’t have any land or house they will enter your name.

it is a half glass full approach, once you lift a family from poverty there are low chances of them falling behind again, then there comes desire to succeed and access to opportunities

I get the point that home is dream for every person. But I think instead of spending 10-20 lakhs which will benefit just single beneficiary, I feel like it can be better spent on other schemes which will benefit more number of people. Just my opinion.

The selection criteria is 100% given to collector’s not something done by ruling party, if one is eligible they can register, as far as I know the flats are being allotted by a lottery.

in this case there are 300 huts that got displaced and they all will get a flat.

i am not ruling out favorism to party candiates but just saying it not doom and gloom as you are picturing. TRS will not be doing itslef a favor if it is only concerned about it’s  party workers

The selection criteria is being done by the District Colectors and no MLA or Minister have any authority over the beneficiaries selection. You can go and read the rules set aside for the 2BHK housing program.
