Total 5 months 15 days from spreading seeds . 

15 days delayed due to nivar cyclone direct hit , normal duration is 150-155 days

Variety : NLR 33892 , also called molagollukulu

per acre ki yentha yield vasthundhi ? maa daggara koulu thesukunna raithu per acre ki 30 bags (1 bag 80 kilo paddy i.e.. 50 to 55 kilo rice) vasthunnayi antaadu so 15 bags maaku , 15 bags vaadiki antaadu   , ma father kemo veedu wrong numbers chepthunnatlu doubt kaani emi cheylam 

eppudu villages lo koulu thesukoney vallu thakkuva , vunna labor sarigga dorakaru, dorikina per day Rs 600+ benefits evvali anta !

This variety yields around 3 tons per acre on average , weather being the most important factor.  

This crop got around 2.8 tons per acre yield 

BPT or other short term has higher yield  but it requires too much pesticides , my father hates BPT because of that .

 

Labour shortage is a real problem for us too , no one below 40 is working in the fields anymore .   That's why we gave  half our land for fish farms on rent.

For us bengali batches do planting nowadays, once tamil nadu batches used to come but their state has developed and they stopped coming

Sadly farming isn't really a viable career path anymore due  income stagnation , labour shortages , input cost rise , etc . 

The only way farming is viable in india is if you can do the marketing or labour yourself

It's a good peaceful retirement path though , just don't expect to make money

1 acer ki 1lac income tiyyagaligithene vyavasayam profitable otherwise it is just a habit or passion thing.

Paddy/vari is labor intensive....

Palmoil + pepparika + any other medicinal ( especially cold pressed dried seeds) kind of multi variety inter cropping work out avutyaai.

or else guava, lemon, dragon fruit --> no middleman lekunda direct food processor ki connect pettukunte achievable.
