Problem is ppl fall easily for advertisements and fanfare (malls/super markets) No one cares abt quality. That’s how multinationals killed local brands and shops. can you imagine ppl in city prefer to get Chicken from pre packed in super markets than fresh in a chicken shop. I have seen this trend in a lot of families.

Think of big expenses in india - House (1-2 cr min. One time) - Kids school expenses (2.5 lakh/kid/year) - kids activities (10-20k/month) includes movies and other entertainment - car 15lakhs one time and 7k/month perrol. Rest like utilities, food, gym, clothes, are cheaper.

A villa or an apartment paid off. Budget 1-2cr. assuming you have 2 kids and them going to good schools and other expenses, you need to have a standard income of 2 lakhs/month. Overall 10cr. You can put 5-8 cr after your initial expenses into bank deposit or buy monthly income funds in India. You can make it work with 5cr if you are financially savvy. or if you have 300-400k in 401k, you can withdraw 30k per month and use there.
