Sri Vempati got killed in a car accident in Fort Worth, TX

Dallas, TX: Sri Ramachandra Murthy Vempati, 21 yrs, a brilliant third year (B.S in Computer Science) undergrad student who was enrolled on a Full Scholarship at Texas Christian University (TCU) Fort Worth met with an accident on Saturday, May 15th around 5:30 AM and died of severe head injuries on Sunday, May 16th at 4:00 PM. While Sri driving his Toyota Solora on North Forest Blvd at a sharp curve lost control and hit a tree on the driver side. He bought the car only one week before the accident. Sree, hails from Hyderabad, is survived by father Mr. Vempati Satya Surya Narayana (employee at Transco), Mother Smt. Vempati Vasanta Lakshmi, sister Sai Kiran and a large extended family. He went to Neeraj Public school in Hyderabad India. Sri’s family resides in Punjagutta Hyderabad. Sri’s mother Mrs. Vasantha Lakshmi arrived from Hyderabad to be with him. His uncle and aunts within USA also joined him.

Murali Vennam, TANA Southwest Regional Director, Prasad Thotakura, TANA Executive Vice-President visited Sri and family members at Harris Hospital, Fort Worth. Dr. Krishna Babu Chunduri, Dr. Yamini Chennu, Dr. Narayana Rao Atluru, Dr. Sridhar Reddy Korsapati and Vempati’s uncle Rama Penumarti helped with the proceedings. Local community leaders like Rao Kalvala, Dr. Narasimha Reddy Urimindi, Ram Yalamanchili, Venakt Mulukutla, Dr. Srinivas Reddy Gunukula, Subbu and Dr. Sridhar Reddy Korsapti and Prasad Thotakura paid their last respects to Vempati at Rahma funeral home.

“It is very sad to see an intelligent young student losing his life in a freak accident; Police are still investigating the case. It shows the magnanimity of the parents who donated the organs of Sri Vempati to the hospital to be used to needy people. We thank the Consul General of India, Houston office for their out of way help in processing the paper work even in late hours. We made all arrangements through Rahma Funeral Home of Dallas to send the remains of Sri Vempati through Lufthansa to reach Hyderabad by Sunday 10:00 AM (IST) for final rites” said Prasad Thotakura, Executive Vice-President, TANA.

Jayaram Komati, TANA President, Mohan Nannapaneni, TANA Secretary and all other TANA Governing Board members offered their deepest condolences to Vempati family.

[color=blue]I have been seeing news a lot about lot about INDIAN students dying in the Car accidents...... This is happening especially in USA and very very less % in all other countries.

All these car accidents are happening b/w 2.00 AM - 7.00 AM......

Why the hell are the guys driving very late at night....b/w those odd hours. It may feel funny / excited at that time and that is finally leading to their own death....

All those kind of happiness is Instantaneous.....Think about your family back at home.... Try avoiding those kinda incidents.....
