Published : 14 Oct 2024 07:56 IST ఇంటర్నెట్‌డెస్క్‌: ఎలాంటి సినీ నేపథ్యం లేకుండా ఇండస్ట్రీకి వచ్చి గుర్తింపు తెచ్చుకున్నారు నటి రకుల్‌ ప్రీత్‌ సింగ్‌. తన కెరీర్‌ ప్రారంభంలో ఎన్నో అవకాశాలు కోల్పోయానని చెప్పిన రకుల్‌.. గతంలో ప్రభాస్‌ సినిమా నుంచి తనను (Rakul Preet Singh) తొలగించడం గురించి మరోసారి మాట్లాడారు. ఓ ఆంగ్ల మీడియాకు ఇచ్చిన ఇంటర్వ్యూలో ప్రభాస్‌ సినిమాలో తన స్థానంలో కాజల్‌ను తీసుకున్నట్లు వెల్లడించారు. ‘‘ప్రభాస్‌ (Prabhas) సరసన ఓ సినిమాలో నాకు అవకాశం వచ్చింది. ఒక షెడ్యూల్‌ను కూడా చిత్రీకరించారు. అప్పుడు నేను దిల్లీలో చదువుకుంటున్నా. దీంతో షెడ్యూల్‌ పూర్తి కాగానే తిరిగి దిల్లీ వెళ్లిపోయా. అక్కడికి వెళ్లాక రెండో షెడ్యూల్‌ కోసం ఎన్నిరోజులైనా ఫోన్‌ రాలేదు. నా స్థానంలో కాజల్‌ను తీసుకున్నట్లు తర్వాత తెలిసింది. నాకు కనీస సమాచారం ఇవ్వకుండా ఆ సినిమా నుంచి తొలగించేశారు. అప్పటికే ప్రభాస్‌- కాజల్‌ల (Kajal Aggarwal) కాంబినేషన్‌లో ఓ సినిమా వచ్చి మంచి విజయం సాధించింది. దీంతో మరోసారి ఆ జోడి రిపీట్‌ అయితే బాగుంటుందని భావించిన చిత్రబృందం నన్ను తొలగించి తనను తీసుకుంది. సినిమా అనేది ఓ వ్యాపారం.. ఇందులో కొత్తగా పరిశ్రమకు వచ్చిన అమ్మాయిలకు ఇలా జరగడం సహజమే. నాకు ఎన్నోసార్లు ఇలా జరిగింది. ఒక అవకాశం పోయినా.. దానికి మించింది మన కోసం ఎదురుచూస్తుంటుందని నేను భావిస్తా’’ అని రకుల్‌ చెప్పారు. దానిపై పుస్తకం రాయగలను.. ఆ సినిమాతో సుస్థిరస్థానం: అదాశర్మ గతంలోనూ రకుల్‌ నెపోటిజం కారణంగా తనకు అవకాశాలు రాలేదని వెల్లడించారు. ‘‘సినిమా ఛాన్స్‌లు కోల్పోవడం జీవితంలో ఓ భాగం. నాకు దక్కని వాటి గురించి ఆలోచించి సమయం వృథా చేసుకోను. ఏం చేస్తే నేను వ్యక్తిగతంగా ఎదుగుతానో దానిపై శ్రద్ధ పెడతాను. ఒక స్టార్‌ కిడ్‌కు లభించినంత సులభంగా మిగతా వారికి ఛాన్స్‌లు రావు. అదంతా వారి తల్లిదండ్రుల కష్టం’’ అని రకుల్‌ వివరించారు. ప్రస్తుతం అజయ్‌దేవగణ్‌ జంటగా రకుల్‌ప్రీత్‌ సింగ్‌ ‘దే దే ప్యార్‌ దే 2’లో నటిస్తున్నారు. విజయవంతమైన ‘దే దే ప్యార్‌ దే’కి కొనసాగింపుగా అన్షుల్‌ శర్మ దీన్ని తెరకెక్కిస్తున్నారు. వచ్చే ఏడాది మార్చిలో ఇది విడుదల కానుంది.

Our Dads are the last generation who got away without doing any household work.. Our generation has to do office work, house work, dishes, clothes, kids education, school/activities pickup and drop offs, back yard work, mowing, handyman work, plumbing work, etc etc… and still hear complaints that we are not doing something..

While I regularly cast my vote in India as an Indian citizen - this is the first time I have participated in the election process in the US at the federal level as an American citizen. I think it really depends on the robustness of the local election registrar. We've not had any complaints about the postal ballots - at least in our locality. I could have actually driven myself to the local registrar's office and posted it in a drop box but I just mailed it as it is convenient. Voted Republican.
