Sathupally is reserved constituency. To be fair, Thummala was given a chance by Dora before. When he initially lost to Puvvada (contested from Congress) he was made MLC and was given Ministry. Then Thummala tokkified Puvvada. Due to that pressure, Puvvada joined BRS. Two Kammas same constituency. So, Thummala was told to contest from Palair. By then Puvvada made business deal with Chinna Dora and invested in medical college. 

Thummala lost to Kandala Upendar Reddi in Palair by a small margin in 2018. Both Puvvada and Nama Nageshwara Rao were involved in cross voting against Thummala. Talk is that Chinna Dora wanted Thummala to loose for Puvvada.  Also, Thummala has noti dhoola. That resulted in loss of some Reddi votes as well. 

This time ministry went to Puvvada and Thummala was ignored.  Ponguleti is also fed up with working style of Dora. He was not given least amount of importance as Thummala.

Yes. His eldest brother Mallu Anantharamulu started as a VDO and established VDO colony in Khammam. He grew close to Rajeev Gandhi, and was supposedly  the CM Candidate at the time of Jalagam Vengal Rao. He died of Heart attack all of a sudden. Hearsay in Khammam is that it's a coverup, and Anantharamulu was poisoned by Jalagam (Velama) group for Power to kill  competition. All of them are Congress loyalists.

He was talking about it in assembly as a CLP leader and padayatra 100 rojulu chesinapoudu adhe kadha matladindhi. Press coverage Revantham ekkuva pettukunnadu. Revantham didn't let him have his padayatra conclusion ceremony separately and mixed it with Ponguleti joining Sabha to take away his limelight.

Depends ee press channels ni choostarani. NTV and Sakshi covered him. So did TV9.although not to the same extent. ABN and ETV are centered around Revanth.

Media hype is very different from ground reach.

Going by that logic, Barrelakka ki millions of views unnayi. Enni votes vachayai? 

Lokesh Naidoo ki millions untayi views, em upayogam he lost last election.

Bhatti Vikramarka won four times in a row, Revantham lost in 2018.  Even now Bhatti Vikramarka Majority 35k+ it's more than Revantham. Revantham lost in Kamareddy to a BJP guy Katipally venkata Ramana reddy and trailed by 11k.

Vikramarka served as a Chief whip and a deputy speaker and then as CLP leader that graph alone will put him above MLA. Revantham was just an MLA before PCC. That too was because of Baboru.
