I’m impressed Vanga’s way of marketing his films to janalu. He made overaction against critics and called them woke feminazis restricting his artistic “merit”. He also released trailers that promised a violent bold tale about son obsession with his father. He also alluded to Lord Bobby and rising actress Tripti impact in story. Janalu were sold on the idea. 

Turns out it has same problem as many commercial Telugu films. Now the film discourse is too polarize to give honest opinion. Well-played Vanganna.

he's quite competent as a filmmaker. He's definitely not making generic trash that is unwatchable, even though he picks storylines that are quite cringey 70s type.

but yeah, the way he markets his films are vomit inducing. I didn't give a fcuk about Arjun Reddy beyond 30mins, but I understand that the movie does have some appeal, until he made the movie in Hindi and started a flame war over a few critics unfavourable opinion on the movie.

Get a better editor and it would made his story more coherent. 

I do like his music sense, action choreography, and bold choice to make main character an unapologetic psycho, like many rich kids.
