memu follow ayyedi...product team create epics and ane we eng team create stories under that epic (mostly technical jiras)...at the end closing jiras is product teams responsibility...so they wont understand the technical jiras..its not kind of clean process..

If you cannot change or it is difficult to change the jira workflow, add a label that clearly says it is a technical story or a business story.. and have an agreement with the business/product to approve all technical stories once they are set to complete.. 

business user stories can be approved by them after the demo..
