Scheme is basically govt pays you money based on how much land you own. More land you own = more money.

See anything wrong with this.

I don't know man. I'm thinking of secondary effects of such a transfer..

has it improved rural incomes, by paying farm hands higher salaries? or has it lowered the rent the owners extract from the tillers?

on first glance, it does look like a huge freebie for landowners. but I'm interested to know how the govt is justifying this transfer... or they brazenly standing by their scheme without understanding its effects on rural economy..

for eg.. has it increased the income inequality in the rural areas.

What about landless peasants who are the poorest of the poor? What do they even get?

They are in far worse condition than any of those raithu bandhu people. They have no land of their own and are at the mercy of feudal bhuswamulu.

Shame on Congress for not addressing this issue.

anni meerey antaaru ra babu..

if landless peasants are given money transfer, then you'll say they have become lazy and not coming to work.

I don't understand Indian upper middle class people at all.

ofcourse I do support landless peasants gettin money over landowners, but I still don't understand why govt gave this scheme in the first place..

govt policies are rarely straight forward like you handling your house budgets.

that's why its important to understan what the govt aims to accomplish with a policy and then check if it did accomplish.

political economy (paying their chamchas) aithe unavoidable. but overall i think govts in southern india are that brazen in transfering money to the rich. I may be wrong, ofcourse. because I've never studied this policy

Their policy encourages land grabbing by BRS leaders and cronies to get more money from the scheme.

Control over land is always beneficial to them.

At least bus pass subsidies encourage travel for economic productivity.

2014 ah time lo poor farmers used to borrow the money to buy fertilizers seeds  from rich and give their money back after selling crop .. the money they brought will interest it used to level the money they earn so money to poor that’s why people stopped farming as there is no income from farming

control over land to cronies is the core policy of ysrcp/trs/congress and their cheerleaders like @Raven_Rayes . Metnal narsi acts like this is confusing or he doesnt understand.

I remember YSR gave 512 acres for infosys alone. Whereas CBN developed 185 acres for the entire hitech city with dozens of buildings and companies and laks of jobs.

On top of it he tried lepakshi city with 1 lak acres, vanpic fraud with 60k acres.
