మహాలక్ష్మి పథకంలో భాగంగా మహిళలకు ఉచిత బస్సు ప్రయాణం తమ పొట్ట కొట్టిందని పలు జిల్లాలో ఆటో కార్మికులు ఆందోళనలు నిర్వహించారు. కాంగ్రెస్ ప్రభుత్వం అధికారంలోకి రాగానే అమలు చేసిన పథకం ఆటో కార్మికులకు నష్టం చేసిందన్నారు. 

వివిధ జిల్లాల్లో ఆందోళన చేసిన ఆటో డ్రైవర్లు ప్రభుత్వంపై ఆగ్రహం వ్యక్తం చేశారు. పలుచోట్ల ర్యాలీలు నిర్వహించారు. సిద్దిపేట, మెదక్, జగిత్యాల తదితర జిల్లాల్లో ఆందోళనలు నిర్వహించారు. ఈ సందర్భంగా ఆయా చోట్ల ఆటో డ్రైవర్లు మాట్లాడుతూ... మహిళలకు ఉచిత బస్సు ప్రయాణ పథకం వల్ల తమకు ఉపాధి తగ్గిందని ఆవేదన వ్యక్తం చేశారు.

సిద్దిపేటలో ఆటో క్రెడిట్ కో ఆపరేటివ్ సొసైటీ ఆధ్వర్యంలో ధర్నా నిర్వహించారు. అధ్యక్షుడు సాయిరామ్ మాట్లాడుతూ... తాము బ్యాంకుల నుంచి రుణాలు తీసుకొని ఆటోలను నడిపిస్తున్నామని, ఇప్పుడు ఈ పథకం వల్ల పూట గడవని పరిస్థితి ఏర్పడిందన్నారు. ఒకవైపు ఆటో ఈఎంఐలు, మరోవైపు కుటుంబ పోషణ భారంగా మారుతోందన్నారు. మూడు రంగుల జెండా మూడు చక్రాల ఆటో కార్మికుల జీవితాల్లో చీకటిని నింపిందన్నారు. లక్షలాది ఆటో కార్మికుల జీవితాలు రోడ్డున పడ్డాయన్నారు. 

ఆటో కార్మికుల జీవితం కోసం ఈ పథకంపై కాంగ్రెస్ పునరాలోచన చేయాలని పలువురు విజ్ఞప్తి చేశారు. లేదంటే ఆటో కార్మికులకు నెలకు రూ.15 వేల భృతిని అందించాలని డిమాండ్ చేశారు.

Come on mate.. do some maths..

With restrictions on the times they travel, maximum a house hold can save will be around few hundreds or thousands a month.

But most of the Auto-rickshaw industry will be annihilated.

No body travel in auto rickshaw for long distances. Most of them travel using auto where bus service is not there

No , the scheme is really popular in Karnataka too. 

Auto drivers , private transport were complaining but women voters are just a bigger block , so they just ignored them 

They will not back down from this scheme simply because it costs next to nothing for the government , while new debt is raised in the name of  RTC

Totally wrong. Hyd has very good bus service. Then per ur logic autos should not even exist gaa?

auto is more convenient. Ekkada antey akkkada ekochu digochu. Bus ki fixed stops. 7seater auto charges same as buses.

now free bus for ladies would definitely effect autowala business

Yaa new debt will be raised for rtc and eventually sell or rent out properties owned by rtc.

If number of autos in the city reduces, traffic in the city will be much better @ZoomNaidu

Agreed. Actually good public transportation and encouraging citizens to use it will reduce lot of traffic. But the problem is govt will go bankrupt with such good initiatives. The money which govt gets in terms of tax for petrol is lot
