Questions at POE

My h1 visa is stamped on 14-dec 2023 and validity until September 2024

Employer telling not to travel now as market is worse now.
So,if I travel in February,at POE do they ask why I came 2 months after getting stamped??

But he didn't send me updated offer letter and do I need any other documents from him to show at POE.

I have i797 and LCA with me
