For me the reasons are simple .... Everyone has aspirations to do well. No matter what we say how the market is here, US has always been a land of aspirations and where dreams come true. No wonder its called 'The land of opportunities'. I wont blame them.

Market is different every year. I feel  for the students who graduated last year and this year. Opportunities are less. Does not mean the market will not be good for students who come now and the market might be good down the lane.

Job market will eventually improve kani H1B lottery situation worst avuthundi every year. Specially ee year 1 million new student visas icharu. If same number continues for next 1-2 years it will be 1:10 to 1:20 lottery. Tatha may introduce merit based (salary based) H1B lottery. Then new grads will be most disadvantaged.

The point is .. even after so much awareness by media, students are lining up to come to USA in search of their dreams or opportunities .... Its the no1 destination in the world for anyone ...

There is no doubt about USA is and will be #1 destination. No country has salaries, opportunities close to what USA can offer. But I doubt many students aware how messed up visa system is. I know few families betted their whole life earnings on sending kid to USA. I wish well for them but worried at same time on taking risk with 1:10 to 1:20 lottery.

You cant win against stupidity... I understand what you are saying wrt students ... They need to understand ... The only ppl profiting from the whole thing are American universities ...

They are doing door dash using h4 EAd accounts and asylum EAd accounts available in black market. Don't give your resumes with EAd or gc attached
