Job scam offering money to 'impregnate' women busted in Bihar, 8 arrested

Eight members of a group, that promised men an opportunity to earn money by 'impregnating' women, were arrested in Bihar.

Eight people were arrested in Bihar's Nawada for allegedly luring men into a fraudulent scheme that offered them money for 'impregnating' women who were not able to conceive a child with their partners.

The group, known as 'All India Pregnant Job (Baby Birth Service),' used to operate through social media platforms, assuring men an opportunity to earn money by 'impregnating' women.

According to the police, the accused charged a registration fee of Rs 799 from those who showed an interest, followed by additional demands for security money ranging from Rs 5,000 to Rs 20,000.

The arrests were made after the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Bihar Police conducted a raid on the premises associated with Munna Kumar, believed to be the mastermind behind this extensive cybercrime network.

Although the police were successful in capturing eight members of the racket, several others managed to escape during the operation.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Kalyan Anand confirmed the arrests and stated that the men were part of a larger countrywide cyber syndicate.

 

During the arrests, authorities seized nine smartphones and a printer from their possession.

The senior police official said that interrogations into the case were ongoing and that more arrests were likely to be made.
