As your family is growing, and you move away from other places your interaction with those people reduces for obvious reasons. My best friend who is a classmate and a colleague for 5 yrs we are in East and west coast. Even after that we used to email/whatsapp/chat almost every day. Then kids happened, it reduced a bit to weekly once calls. As kids started growing up its once in 2-3 months. Now we don't talk much on phone.

But when 49ers are playing he chats with me for the whole duration and have a good time. Same when Detroit is playing. Does not mean we lost touch or stopped being friends or not maintaining friendship ... 

Life happened friends ... and its normal to lose in touch with people. Always remember your true friends.

good point. capitalism makes everyone work for money and tells them enjoyment is only in things that money can buy.
