No doubt its a great strategy by Reliance to revive the brand via promotions during world cup. Either they paid the highest amount to BCCI or someone in BCCI got kickbacks. Ambani is a big guy and he would get his way most of the times irrespective of Govt.  

End of the day its a business decision for parties involved.
