Union Main Homes - Milrany Ranch - Housing Scam in Melissa,Tx

In July, as we sought to purchase a house in Dallas, our research led us to Union Main Homes in Melissa, TX, aligning with our budget. After signing a contract, we incorporated several upgrades without negotiating on pricing, submitting a $26,311.25 down payment. Opting for the builder's recommended lender, our loan faced initial delays, prompting Union Main Homes to cancel our sales agreement without refunding the deposit.

In an attempt to resolve the issue, we visited them in person, resulting in the reinstatement of the agreement but with an additional $10,000 payment, bringing our total payment to $36,311.25 Subsequently, we discovered construction discrepancies, including the use of the wrong brick, incorrect tile installation in the master and other bathrooms, and an inappropriate stone for the fireplace – all undisclosed even after contract reinstatement.

Upon notifying them of these issues, they claimed they needed to consult management and offered a mere $5,000 discount. Despite expressing our dissatisfaction through multiple emails, negotiations stalled. Suddenly, without responding to our correspondence, Union Main Homes canceled our sales agreement, stating that we are “REFUSING TO CLOSE” refunding only $10,000 and withholding the remaining $25,000.

We never refused to close the house, all we mentioned was to negotiate regarding the discrepancies during the house construction - which never happened with the Union Main Homes Management Team.

Attempting to discuss matters at their Melissa, TX office, Vice president of the company used the words “Get your ass out of here” asking us to leave the property as the sales agreement is already cancelled and they don’t want to answer our questions. we were accused of trespassing, and the police were called, forcing us to leave.

Presently, we find ourselves in a difficult situation with limited options.

Notably, the builder has raised the house price by $50,000 and listed it as available on their website, raising suspicions of fraudulent practices.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR ANY REAL ESTATE ATTORNEYS WHO COULD ASSIST US. Please spread the word and let us know.
