Anta Assamey
Union Home Minister Amit Shah's Statement Spurs Telugu Desam-Jana Sena Alliance Amidst Speculation of BJP Collaboration in Andhra Pradesh Amit Shah's recent assertion regarding the imminent decision on their party's alliance in Andhra Pradesh has injected fresh vigor into the aspirations of the Telugu Desam-Jana Sena coalition. With a shared objective of toppling the incumbent YSRC government in the state, both parties are keen on joining forces with the BJP. Responding to a query from media at a programme in New Delhi on Saturday, Amit Shah said family planning is good for the family. But politically, it is better to have a bigger family. Despite recent meetings between Telugu Desam leader N. Chandrababu Naidu and BJP's Amit Shah and J.P. Nadda, details of their discussions remain undisclosed. Similarly, Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan's anticipated meeting with Amit Shah is yet to materialize. In the interim, leaders from both Telugu Desam and Jana Sena have tentatively agreed on seat-sharing arrangements and a common manifesto. However, their plans hinge on the official announcement of an alliance with the BJP, which would prompt adjustments to their manifesto and seat allocations accordingly. Telugu Desam leaders have signaled their willingness to compromise on seat distribution to accommodate nominees from both Jana Sena and BJP.
