I just realized my credit card was expiring 02/24 and looks like bank sent new card. I never got the new card/ activate the new card. 

Now I suspect the purchase was made by someone who had my new credit card, how did bank allow purchase if I did not activate the new card? 
 

did you come across such situation? Am I responsible for these charges?

i believe there are some vulnerabilities on the browsers, this is where passwords and card numbers are leaking

credit card skimming machines tho they'll clone the cards, google it and you'll understand how these frauds are done
