We are thinking to leave out 1 year old daughter in India for 1 year. My parents will take care of her in India but wondering what are the pros & cons of leaving kid in India with grand parents. Please share your suggestions or experiences if you have any.

End of the day it’s your call and no judgements( people will continue to judge including me).

It’s your life and your kid. My son was in India with in-laws from 6 month old to 18 month old because of our job situation. Now he is 8 yr old playing basketball with every other kid here. Other than we missing him during that age, nothing changed for him. Probably inka better care with fresh food and making sure he eats it. My mother in law used to feed him for 1-2 hrs per meal till he finished his food. I don’t think we could ever do that here.

It’s not about leaving . You don’t know what memories you will loose between 1-4 years if you stay away until you realize.
I wish I won’t need to work these 3 years to stay with my kids. Memories for life.

end of the day your kid , your life. I don’t want to judge here…hmm

Never do that, they will treat you like uncle aunty once they come back and you will never be a Dad or Mom to them NEVER AGAIN!
