Help! Any one travelled to USA via Munich (MUC) ? Is transit visa required for Indian with USA Visa? Also, require a terminal change. Appreciated if you can share your inputs.

I have received above link for embassy. It has conflicting information. It says Indians exempt if they have US via and at the same time they are saying if there is terminal change, you will need visa. So, confused.

Check this https://www.munich-airport.com/connecting-flights-260553

And this https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic-g187309-i118-k6252577-How_to_go_from_Terminal_2_to_Terminal_1_at_Munich_Airport-Munich_Upper_Bavaria_Bavaria.html

Lot of people confirmed you can move between terminals using shuttles without leaving non Schengen zone

  • Arriving from and connecting to an airport outside the Schengen area: Usually no passport control is required, if you don‘t leave the gate area.

Schengen area is 27 countries of Europe. German is one of those. It is like domestic vs international in US.

Schengen area is domestic for travel purposes. No visa check between those countries.

Yes. 80 euro fee and some paper work. It is hassle to visit VFS and apply.  But we don't need in mostly. Allowed to going back to India with expired visa and coming to US with valid visa.
