both has pros and cons.

tank aithe pros are less cost upfront, still standard for most homes. cons are has maintenance to drain every year to clear sediments at bottom, limited water supply and more cost to keep the water at selected temp

tankless ki pros are continuous water supply without interruption, less maintenance. cons are more upfront costs, savings aren't that high.

another downside for tankless is hot water ravadaniki koncham time padthadi as it will start heating the water when you start use the tap except the tap which is near to that device

Tank also has same issue. But tankless takes a little longer.

Most up front cost in which country anna? You get the best tankless in less than 1800 these days

regular water heaters  are expensive than tankless

Tank less to save space.. but remember tank less works on gas and tanked one works on electricity. If you are planning for solar going tank less will be useless as you can't save a bit

Buy your own tankless in home depot or Lowe’s for about $1800, get more BTU if you have more than 4 baths

hire a plumber in task rabbit for 300-500 and get it done, very easy
