regular water heaters  are expensive than tankless

Regular are cheaper to buy and install compared to tankless.

you can do it yourself by watching some videos. Looks hard but not at all, replace anode rod when flushed. If it isn’t flushed for a few years better to leave it that way

Another disadvantage with tankless is it cannot supply for high demands unless you have a high capacity system. If you run laundry and dishwasher and try to take shower it cannot supply hot enough unless you have high end system. Tankless are also good for low usage places where you don’t use water much frequently. So it only heats water when needed. Whereas tank will always try to maintain water hot. Tankless also saves space and if space isn’t a concern this is nothing to consider.

With tank or without tank(tank less) yedi baguntadi.. gas ye( not electricity)

If it's the same cost with builder, I'll go tankless. For us we offered both - no price change as builder gets more energy tax incentives with tankless.

If you are paying, go for tank.... maintenance is not that hard unless you live in an area with hard water... still it's something you can easily do yourself.

Make sure it's a quality make..

if u live in cold place + have basement, then tank is better option since space isn't an issue here for you guys.

Basement leni places lo tankless is better which are installed outside the house usually, ex Texas lanti places lo.

But once in a while cold wave vachindappudu tankless heaters will run into issues with broken pipes etc.

Mine is tank heater and its in basement...maa side city water is good and is not hard...so cleaning lantidi avasaram ledhu + if u have whole house water softner then no worries.

50 gallon water heaters are not that expensive...below $1000 lo vachesthadi. Couple of neighbors replaced recently (home depot lo $750 - 800 unde)and labour charges were around $400

I've used both tankless and with a tank water heater. The first home builder provided a tankless water heater connected to gas, while the second home builder installed one with a tank due to all-electricity laws in California.

I prefer a tankless water heater because the hot water never stops. It's a huge plus for families with more than two members.

it takes up less space and can simply be attached to the wall.

The first builder mentioned that it doesn't repeatedly heat water, thus saving on gas bills.

Regarding water heaters with tank, they take up space and provide limited hot water.

The second builder mentioned that it saves on electricity bills compared to a gas water heater. I'm not sure which claim is true.

If you have option to choose Tankless ... Prefer Tankless

another downside for tankless is hot water ravadaniki koncham time padthadi as it will start heating the water when you start use the tap except the tap which is near to that device

entha time padthadi ?

both tankless and tank will have same time to deliver hot water, time taken to drain cold water in the pipes anthe.

may be your logic holds true in the case below.

you guys are away for couple of weeks and nobody used hotwater while you are away may be tankless takes time but kinda kitchen lo bollu tomi paina bathroom lo hotwater on cheste its instant;
