The United States has imposed sanctions on its long-time ally Pakistan over its ballistic missile programme.

The US slapped sanctions on four entities engaged in acquiring materials for Pakistan's ballistic missile project.

According to a press statement by the US State Department, three entities belonged to China and one to Belarus.

These companies have provided items applicable to Pakistan's ballistic missile programme, including its long-range missile endeavours.
