Bonus as a % of base is your compensation. It' like a carrot ( will usually paid in a lump sum at the end of year) just to make the employee work better and not switch jobs in between.  This is different from variable bonus ,which is typically not defined.

yeah it depends on company policies. some will give bonuses on company performance and some pay you fixed bonus every year.

Eh1 ki 150k is a good salary in mid west. Nuvu tiskokapothe, there are tons of people in line (some may do better coding than you) to grab that opportunity. No bargain power for H1b salves.

Without knowing company and other aspects - prev experience, what you want etc. It is hard to comment.

From the outside feels like a solid offer.22% bonus is not guaranteed kabatti practially oka 15 anukovachemo.

Since you are there for 3y - if its a good jump for you take it anthe

Lot of people complain about cold but there are lot of fun things that can be done there

lived in Minnesota for 5 years enjoyed snow hiking , showing and cross country skating

people just want all the comforts

only thing is we have to end up wearing additional layers

will take snow any time than these crazy south heat

High cost areas lo 200k kante low cost areas lo 150k is always better.. what about other benefits? 401k match? Cost of health insurance? Ask about how they gave bonuses the previous years, any layoffs etc - if you know someone in that company..

Decent salary in this market. 200k bonus you get in cities where the cost of living and housing situation is worse..

Is this a better salary than what you make currently?

Is the city's cost of living similar to where you live? Easy decision to make ..

Are you sure 22% is the minimum bonus percentage or max ? There will be a slider kada ? Percentage will change based on performance…if 22 is minimum, close eyes and accept the offer
