Asalu aa whole TG moment is ridiculous... Andhra nunchi students evaranna students unte vallani ragging chesi dobbi Jai Telangana cheppinchukuntaaru langas... Students mass bunk kottadaniki ee moment..item gallu veellu

According to Professor Jayashankar only 20% of the total Government employees, less than 10% of employees in the secretariat, and less than 5% of department heads in the Andhra Pradesh government are from Telangana; those from other regions make up the bulk of employment.[9][12][13] He also alleged that the state was represented by Telangana chief ministers for only 6 1/2 years out of over five decades of its existence, with no chief minister from the region being in power continuously for more than 2 1/2 years.[9] As per Srikrishna committee on Telangana, Telangana held the position of CM for 10.5 years while Seema-Andhra region held it for 42 years.[14]

According to the Backward Regions Grant Fund 2009–10, 13 backward districts are located in Andhra Pradesh: nine (all except Hyderabad) are from Telangana and the rest are from other regions.[15][16][17]

Telangana and Andhra merger was a complete blunder in 1956

KCR was a catalyst to the movement he played an important role similar to many other udyamakarulu, KCR lekapote telangana ledu ane statements anevi picha lite, It is people who make the leaders great not the other way around.

State is more important than any leader. End of the day TG matters first, Telangana Jathipitha ani evaru leru and kcr is not eligible for that title

okavele jathipitha anedi unte only professor JayShankar who fought relentlessly will be eligible for that.

Wonder how many CMs are there from coastal Andhra?

much less than 10.5 years.  Most of which is thanks to NTR with cinematic Charisma.

Maybe it was a blunder...looking back at what happened since, can you really tell people with higher income that are currently in Telangana are not from Andhra Pradesh? I mean what did you get from the whole thing by calling out "Andhrites" for taking up the resources of Telangana? Were you able to kick them out by getting a new state? If not, what was the point of all the hatred towards the people from Andhra.

Picking years around 2009 is data manipulation.

Those were the times of appeasement when the chief ministers allocated more funds to TG region and many districts of Telangana were added for more funds.

Telangana was formed with a surplus budget and KCR rightly claimed that it was the richest state in the country when it was formed.

Eppudu unna vallanu evvaru annaru, In India anyone can live at any place.

Most of the TG districts even in rural areas Govt employees mostly Andhra nunde unde vallu, reason is TG was backward because of Nizam rule and Andhra was not backward because of Britiish rule

United AP ga unnapudu we dint have proper current and Agriclultural lands lo asalu water e undedi kada

But after Seperate state we were able to get good current and water to agricultural lands

Mulki rules, Gentlemen agreement edi kuda follow avvale which were supposed to be implemented when AP and TG Merged

Ignore what kcr said about Andhra people, kcr is a politician and he says multiple things for his political gains , But the movement was genuine

Nehru himself said this before merger

"

Prime minister Jawaharlal Nehru initially was skeptical of merging Telangana with Andhra State, fearing a "tint of expansionist imperialism" in it.[19][20] He compared the merger to a matrimonial alliance having "provisions for divorce" if the partners in the alliance cannot get on well.[21][22][23] Following the Gentlemen's agreement, the central government established a unified Andhra Pradesh on 1 November 1956.[6][24][25] The agreement provided reassurances to Telangana in terms of power-sharing as well as administrative domicile rules and distribution of expenses of various regions."

Really? It's hard to ignore when a small set of students felt like they owned the whole University ragging the rest of the students, not just from AP but the rest of India as well... I never looked down on Telangana before KCR... but having been to college during that phase, I can't help feel the same way anymore.

I don't know which university you went but in my college there were many folks from Andhra and no one was ragged, Even some of them clearly expressed Anti-Seperate state sentiment those days, I know that some folks in the name of the movement created some disturbances to students as well as businessmen. but that does not reflect the entire movement.
