your post is toomuch bro...i wish and hope we better control our wording with reference to great personalities like Mahatma Gandhi, Dr. B.R.Ambedkar and others in their league who fought for.. and designed a balanced society which every Indian is enjoying to some extent....thank you...

as a former CM..Dr.YSR name has all the due respect n chance to be named for the airport...but District ki ade peru and airport ki ade peru avuthundi....

People who were from Kadapa but had their influence on telugu people all over.

1) Yogi Vemana ( Popular Great Saint, poems Based on morality and not just religion. )

2) CP Brown ( When royal patronage to telugu got reduced drastically, Did lot of service to telugu language and collected lot of manuscripts which was much needed at that time or we would have lost forever.

3) YSR ( Died in Action as CM, and a leader who contributed much to AP).

4) Wasn't aware of Annamayya's relation to Kadapa except that he used the route from Kadapa to travel to Tirupati.

5) Probably there will be many other people rooted in Kadapa but made their mark in all telugu regions.

Kadapa means threshold of the house or "గడప" in telugu langauge. Still in telugu dialects settled in Salem, TamilNadu, people use Kadapa to say Gadapa.

Kadapa refers to "దేవుని గడప" . as it was the last exit before entering forests on the way  to Tirupati. It was one of the two major routes to reach Tirupati.

YSR KaDapa doesnt add up. If possible, AP govt should change back the name respectfully probably naming another district and also have the airport name. 

P.S: Eenadu if I remember uses Kadapa district in its district edition ignoring YSR, while Sakshi uses only YSR district, ignoring kadapa.
