How long does Tatkal Indian Passport renewal take?

I thought so too but looks like Police enquiry is needed for every request including tatkal.

No excuses.

Police enquiry checks that you belong there and are pretty fast.

The speediness is pretty impressive but the forms needed to specify the actual request is not intuitive and often cause  people to reapply..

Considering Expedited US passport Renewal was taking 10 weeks not long ago, the turnaround time is pretty impressive.

3 days.  fly down to a vfs location and submit docs in person. Tell them you have a flight next week and stay there and get it the next day or 2

Tuesday evening ship chesina documents, ee monday morning delivery ata new passport 😳

Normal processing aey, tatkal kadu. Police inquiry kuda 1 day lo aipoindi. Just cases emanna vunnayo ledo kanukkuntunnaru anukunta police station lo. Indian adress ki vellatle.
