We were so glad for not taking him to daycare. some day care kids will not eat indian food..thats what i have observed so far.. they always eat junk or prefer pizza always and one kid i know only eats meat and they are vegetarian(brahmin) family. papam they are struggling with that kid as they dont cook meat and kid won't eat any veggies. We stopped daycare for our daughter after 8 months so that's helping a lot in savings, She is 4 now and she is going to start school in August. Able to Save around 1.8 to 2.5 k per month after all expenses. First, make sure tha you contribute to HSA and 401k even if there is no match. Nowadays wives who don't work in IT are working in Walmart as they increased pay and have health insurance. Walmart staff near desi communities are full of desis nowadays. Just an fyi. And yeah, you don't need 2 cars. And car insurance is too high. Should be less than 100.
