TODAY CPI REPORT SAID. INFLATION AT ITS LOWEST SINCE 2023.

BYE BYE INFLATION . RATE CUT  IS COMING BY JULY END OR SEP.

The problem with cpi is it is measured against last year but if you compare it with pre-covid it is up by almost 30%. And many of the items such as groceries, insurance will never come down.

Rich and upper middle class are doing very well as their assets (houses and stocks) are up a lot. Others are struggling 😪

My 2 cents on the Biden win..

  • Vote Margin in Key States: Biden secured narrow but crucial victories in several battleground states like Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Arizona. These states provided him with the necessary electoral votes to win the presidency.

  • Campaign Strategy: Biden's campaign focused on appealing to a broad coalition of voters, including moderate Democrats, independents, and disaffected Republicans. He emphasized unity, empathy, and a return to normalcy after four years of political polarization under the Trump administration.

  • Handling of COVID-19: Many voters approved of Biden's approach to handling the COVID-19 pandemic, which contrasted sharply with President Trump's handling. Biden advocated for mask-wearing, social distancing, and following scientific guidance, which resonated with voters concerned about public health and safety.

  • Character and Experience: Biden's decades of experience in public service, including eight years as Vice President under Barack Obama, positioned him as a steady and experienced leader capable of handling the challenges facing the nation.

  • Turnout and Demographics: Voter turnout was historically high in 2020, particularly among minority groups and young voters, who tended to favor Biden over Trump. Additionally, Biden performed well with suburban voters and seniors, key demographics in swing states.

  • Campaign Organization: Biden's campaign had a well-organized ground game and effective digital outreach efforts, which helped mobilize voters and counter Trump's enthusiastic base.

  • Issues and Policies: Biden's policy proposals on healthcare, climate change, racial justice, and economic recovery appealed to a broad spectrum of voters looking for substantive change and solutions to pressing issues.

George Floyd Incident

  • Heightened Awareness of Police Brutality and Systemic Racism: The video of George Floyd's death, showing a police officer kneeling on his neck for over 9 minutes despite Floyd's pleas that he couldn't breathe, sparked widespread outrage. It brought renewed attention to issues of police brutality against Black Americans and highlighted systemic racism within law enforcement.

  • Mass Protests and Social Movement: Following Floyd's death, there were massive protests across the United States and in other countries under the banner of the Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement. These protests called for justice for George Floyd, accountability for police officers involved in brutality, and broader reforms to address racial inequality and police violence.

  • Political and Policy Responses: The incident prompted political leaders, both at the state and federal levels, to address police reform. It sparked debates about the role of law enforcement, the use of force policies, and calls for legislative changes to improve accountability and transparency in policing.

  • Impact on Public Discourse: The George Floyd incident sparked widespread conversations about race relations, systemic racism, and social justice. It brought issues of racial inequality to the forefront of public discourse and challenged institutions and individuals to confront biases and promote equity.

  • Symbolic and Cultural Impact: George Floyd's name and the circumstances of his death became symbolic of larger issues related to racial justice. His death sparked solidarity movements worldwide and influenced cultural expressions, including art, music, and literature, that address racial inequality and police violence.

  • Policy Changes and Reforms: In response to public pressure and advocacy efforts, some cities and states implemented policy changes aimed at reforming police practices, enhancing accountability measures, and investing in community-based alternatives to traditional policing.

Aa incident tarvatha DEI hiring ekkuva jarigindi. Some companies even promoted some black employees into executive/leadership positions, irrespective of their abilities. Most companies hired DEI officers and had DEI as part of the interview loop process. Now I see it nowhere to be seen. At the end it became temporary phenomena and capitalism /profit dictate the things.
