CaptainMaverick
Bengaluru Man Scolds Blinkit For Sending Notifications in Hindi: 'No Alien Language Nonsense' Bengaluru man calls Hindi a 'alien language', reprimands Blinkit for not sending notifications in Kannada. Just yesterday, another person was threatened by Uber driver for not speaking Kannada language!!! Definitely not how citizens of a Metropolitan city are supposed to behave!!!! Congress party has always tried to fan the flames of division among people, be it North & South or Linguistic fascism!!
southyx
Why do they have to send notifications in Hindi instead of the local language? How do the UP/Bihar people feel if they are sent Telugu/Kannada/Tamil notifications? You send notification in some non-local language to a local person; since he didn't like it, you call him a linguistic fascist. This is how the Britishers used to play.

11_MohanReddy
It's amazing how accepting Telugu is in comparison to Tamil and Kannada. The point of language is to communicate. There is no need to pressure others to speak your language. I understand if you don't speak Hindi, but he clearly is typing in English and can make a conversation in English. Is it not minimum requirement for that company to provide an option to talk in the local language? It is fine to have Hindi as an option, but provide another option to speak in local language. Prioritize your local language over Hindi, because vast majority of people speak in local language.

He is typing in English, may be he doesn't speak well and he is not comfortable in speaking. I saw this issue with most non-English speaking European countries. They write very well, but they don't want to speak because they feel their speaking language is not good. May be this is voicing the cause of the others who don't speak.
