Depends where you want to settle. If you want to settle down in US then buy here.

But the debt and growth trajectory in India will gradually price you out from Indian RE markets particularly in top tier cities. This has been the case with Chinese (priced out from China) already.

You are already priced out of metros of Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and will soon be priced out of Hyderabad and Vishakapatnam as well, if you are just a wage earner.  Does it effect you? If yes, then consider investing in India. 

On the flip side the costs of maintaining the property in US are far higher. If you're to buy in places like Texas, say a $500k house will incur you a property tax of $15k per year and then for about 20 years of time you hold the property you will end up paying more $300k in tax, which will never be the case in India. In North East and California $800k will get you a shack anyway. US is far more debt based market, with debt turning in boom bust cycle, sometimes you bear the burnt and sometimes you bear the fruits.

Idi simple, correct and best advice. My parents have become old and brother also stays in US, so buying land in India with no active family member is risky. Also, kids ikkada perugute they will not know much abt real estate in india. Manam old ayyaka malli will have to sell and bring it here. Appudu Rs-$ ela untundo telidu.

finding something that is in very early stage or pre launch then you will have good margins.
