Recently changed client 1 month ago, I have valid VISA with my old employer until end of this year, I am planning to visit India in August. Malli stamping ki povala since it has old employer same on it or I will be fine by just carrying latest i-797 from new employer ? By the time I come back my start date with new employer will be only 2 months.

Not required usually. Though there is employer/sponsor annotation in the Visa, the Visa actually is given to the beneficiary for travel. You can use it for travel. But for entry into the US at POE, you need a valid I-797 for the employer currently you are trying to re-enter US and work, as well as other supporting docs of the CBP officer demands. That I-797 can be for the same or different employer than that on Visa in passport.

But better check with employer's attorney for their opinion and guidance as well.
