Really sad for him but most likely there either won't be any charges or the charges will be dropped - it is a clear case of self defense.

Once you draw a weapon on someone you better have an intention to use it - if not you will more often than not receive smoke like this.

Seems to be an Indian guy who has no knowledge of how hardcore some Americans with guns are - he thought he could get away with just waving a gun - he found out the real hard way.

There wasn't any info. on whether he procured that handgun legally or illegally. The focus here should be what would have happened of the pick up driver if he was prohibited from having a firearm coz of the "gun control". This is indeed a sad situation, but there is no perfect world out htere, criminals woulda acquire them one way or the other. The actual trigger lies between your eyes and you are the one pulling it. Well, the pick up driver was able to go back to his family and gotta live his life, coz he was armed. Legal gun owners are the most responsible bunch out there.

True.I have seen them with Pakis and Banglas. What suprised me was they prefer Pakis and Banglas other over South Indians and have seen them mocking Telugu/Tamilians. I guess they are more comfortable with Pakis/Banglas due to language and similar life styles like food, movies etc...

Yes it is easy to do this analysis -AFTER THE FACT - imagine you being in that situation - you may have family and kids at home - how do you know that he was making only empty threats. Most people have an instinct to preserve themselves in the face of threats.

Bottomline - a severe lack of education of how these things in US work - 99% of the times you behave like that - you will get smoked and rightly so.

Do you want to wait till someone point the gun on your face? Someone approching you with a gun in threating manner is enough to act in self-defence.

Even illegally, it would be difficult with gun control.

And someone who bought it illegally wouldn't wave it carelessly like that.
