Please recommend one...Have been using Small business travel card by BOA. (1.5% rewards)

I make 2 Columbia trips , 2 India trips, + 2 family trips elsewhere. so far never felt i needed a lounge . if there is 2 to 3 hours stopover would spend at restaurant , bar etc.

Have Global entry already.

Do i still need this special travel cards? with Yearly fee?

If you don’t care about the lounge, you can just ignore the travel card. I have Amex Platinum but they will allow only you for the lounge and need to pay for additional family member ($50~) unless add them with an annual fee of $195 or you spend total $75K/ Year. I had Chase Saphire Reserve for few years and canceled it since it is redundant to have both Amex & CSR.

I heard good things about Capital Card in recent times. You can take your family members for free to the lounge.

Personally , I’d suggest to wait for a good signup bonus, take the card, enjoy the benefits for one year and if it makes sense to have one.

Amex Platinum offers 150K signup bonus at times.  That is worth at least $1500 without taking benefits into consideration. $695 is the annual fee.  You get $200 airline fee credit, $15/Month Uber Credit (Total $180 per month) etc.

If ticket prices are low , they are typically considered as fees and waived automatically as well. There are alternatives like buying United Travel Credit etc.

You will get 5X points on Amex. Not sure about Capital Card. If you spend $10,000, you will get 50K points which is about $500 worth at least. Chase (Saphire) allows 5% cash back but the ticket prices could be inflated in their portal.

Target cards with good Signup bonuses. Benefits are per calendar year.

Brother one trick that has worked for me is book ticket less than 100$ twice on southwest(after choosing southwest in amex benefits section for flight credits)

Then cancel it and take the southwest travel credits to use later

Amex will then credit you with travel credits of platinum card for the above transaction

Have been doing it from last 5 years

For me southwest works out good

Overall best credit card is Amex platinum

You get 200$ for booking luxury and select hotels via amex

Admittedly this is not useful for all but if you are visiting vegas, denver, new york , sfo and few other cities you can get great deals with 100$ credit per stay , free breakfast and free upgrade

This is especially great for vegas where you can book one level below suite and ask for free upgrade to suites . Has worked for me twice

Then there is 200$ uber credit which you get monthly 15$ and december 35$.  you can use for ubereats  to order food

Then there is 200$ airline credit which if you use correctly can get the full credit

Then there is 240$ entertainment credit divided to 20$ per month. You can use for peacock, hulu, audible, New york times etc

Then There is 100$ credit for spending in Saks fifth (Not the inferior saks off fifth)

You get walmart plus free membership which is similar to prime

Then there are hilton, mariott status upgrade

Then status upgrade for Avis, hertz etc

Finally lounge access which is not the best but you can get benefits

If you're looking for the best travel credit card, it depends on your spending habits and goals. Many cards offer perks like no foreign transaction fees, travel insurance, and rewards for flights and hotels. While researching, I also stumbled upon Bummelwelt.de helped me find affordable health insurance as an expat in Berlin, a must-have if you plan extended stays abroad! Combining a great credit card with proper coverage can make traveling much smoother.
