I am not saying that they shouldn’t increase the prices.. I am saying that restaurants shouldn’t expect customers to pay the workers with their tips.. it is not their responsibility ..

You seem like a restaurant owner.. Anduke cheppedi burra ki ekkatledu.. 

In any goods and services business, you consider the costs, wages and other expenses and then decide the goods price… if the customer likes the price, they buy it… there shouldn’t be any pressure on the customer to pay the wages to the workers..

American Restaurants want to keep price of food low and pays $5 hour wage to workers in expectation that customers pays tips. it is called passing the bucks to customers and then to waiter.

you defeating this passing the buck US culture. most americans tip around 20 to 25%. manam atleast 10 to 15% ivakapothe ela.

Aa culture thappu antunnanu bro.. if fast food restaurants are surviving without relying on tips, regular restaurants should also be able to survive.. if not, they should increase the food prices.. tipping is only if the server goes above and beyond to make the customer happy… 

Self service restaurants lo kuda 20% tip adugutunnaru.. 

if they are servicing food or delivering food, tipping makes sense..

I stopped going to restaurants where I have to pay tip.. self service restaurants lo kuda minimum 18% and max 35% tip antaa… the cashier looks at what you select for the tip.. 

expensive restaurants where they bring food and have a general conversation, treat kids well,  are fine.. we can tip there for the service and ambience and the fine dining experience…
