US lo schools are mostly funded by property taxes, which are 1-3% of the total property cost.. imagine paying 1-3 lakhs every year  on a property worth 1 crore.. people will come out on the roads and agitate… 

states also do not charge any income tax in India.. imagine paying 9% state income tax every year like in California… 

they increased tax on LTCG by 2.5%.. not a big difference.. if you make a profit of one lakh, you pay 2500 more..
