They are completely different castes  ,it's very obvious if you look at history ,telagas have no relation with other castes in kaapu ,toorpu kaapus are completely different from other castes included in "kaapu caste"

Similarly reddies have no relation with present day kaapus ,infact kaapu isn't even caste in the present day it is just a group of different castes.

Using kaapu to refer to reddies is a very confusing thing to do ,since present day kaapu itself is a completely different term.

Telaga, toorpu kapu ivanni kakunda native patha/peda kapu ane cheppina nenu kooda. They low key feel these were induced by brits. 

This is region specific, when it comes to seema - kapu caste, reddy title. Andhra la kaapu caste lo vere different castes ni kaliparu anedi valla feeling. Asalu anthaku mundu kapulu leru anedi correct kadu. 

Few people from other telugu speaking regions might be confused, seema jillala varaku " reddies " caste kaadu, "kapollu"  ane antaru, including caste certificate.
