Zerodha has 2 founders Nikil and Nithin Kamath... its only younger brother Nikil who said he prefers to rent than buying house for reasons said in above posts..

If both brothers said same thing we can understand that they are giving these statements to promote capital markets...

Moreover just to improve their business i dont believe one will go to that extent to make themselves downgrade their lifestyle ...

Watch younger brother recent interview with Ranbir Kapoor where he again brings this rent vs buying and the maths behind it...  I would see that its his personal life and its fine he is doing what he believes...
