Tesla Owners Federal credit

Guys,

Our combined income is above 300k. One of our inccones is less than 150k. We file taxes jointly every year. If I buy Tesla with <150 k salary and do taxes next year separately, will I still be eligible for federal credit?

The problem is you will loose the benefits of join filing anna , your tax bracket will mess up , even if u get the tax credit of tesla you will end up.paying more anna

EV9 is good. But what are your requirements? Which state do you live? Tesla and kia both have pros and cons. You can never beat tesla super charging network and ease of use, so if once in a while if you do long trips and want to have peace of mind with fast DC charging then tesla.. ledu nenu 99% home charging e and i need a real car feel ante buy other EV they will have physical buttons, better build quality, road noise but the problem is tesla infotainment is super good. I used ford infotainment its very laggy and after 3 years it became more laggy is what i heard from multiple reviews, tesla don’t have that issue. And tesla is king in software updates and no other company is close to it. Last few months lo tesla released many updates and it improved car a lot don’t expect this from other brands

No EV credit for Kia but they are planning to start manufacturing ev3 in New Mexico to get that federal credit. Neighbor said rivian is also good and it can use Tesla's super chargers. Reason I am looking for other options than Tesla is that almost every Indian in my neighborhood owns a tesla

Agreed all desis own tesla and there’s a reason for it, think of it as toyota/honda in EVs, and also less hassle with traditional dealerships no need to bargain just order in website and pickup. 
 

also based on budget, with tax credit you cant beat it for those features and app connectivity. Try mach-e and polestar drive is far superior than tesla, but power intake is not more than 150kw at superchargers = slow charging compared to tesla 250kw
