Trump killed the border deal (Told you so, also he killed his $25 billion for the wall when he was President because he said he could "get a better deal", he ended up with $3 billion. SMH)

Because a lot of those "illegal employers" are *literally a pillar of Trump's base --* especially farmers, who have a vested interest in keeping available a workforce who can be paid below minimum wage. Remove that workforce, and suddenly those farmers are going to need to pay a lot more in labour costs -- and good luck trying to explain to *voters* why the price of their food is suddenly skyrocketing.

Besides, the illegal immigrant issue is a valuable wedge for the GOP, thus they have all the incentive in the world to invoke it in their rhetoric and almost no incentive at all to actually fix it.

Border deal was a trap.. R’s have been fighting for better border security to stop the illegal immigration and Dems pretty much opened the border.. when they asked for more funding for Ukraine, R’s didnt agree .. so to satisfy R’s, Dems clubbed US’s border security expense with Ukraine/Israel funding deal… 

Why the hell will someone tie up their own country’s border funding bill with foreign aid funding bill??
