No denying that women abuse is still there. But are the laws helping them? Those who are actually facing or dealing with domestic abuse problems, never go to law. However, a lot of misuse is happening. 

Who is paying dowry these days? That family probably paid coz they wanted to see their daughter in the US. In villages, men who are well educated and doing Agriculture by choice are not getting any marriage proposals. Mindset change is needed in the girl's parents as well. 

The other side of the story - We have seen a lot of cases where women come to the USA via marriage and immediately leave their husbands and move on to their BF. 

Bottomline - Abuse is not just limited to women. Laws are needed to protect them, for sure. But they need to be modified so that no one can take advantage. Severe punishment is needed for those who are taking advantage or putting false cases.

This forum is prime example ..there are posts about where to find prostitutes in India while the uncle's are married...

Shopping , In this DB who are asking about all are those details are celebrities or who is having some one . Shopping is doing by them are self interest not any one is forcing her to do.

Yes uncle's are marrying with STD disease. There are many cases discussed in this discussion forum itself. 

The fact that you ignore and are not aware of such cases diesnt mean they don't exists. Stop being an ignorant fool

Stop following tv9 and tabloids ..please listen to podscasts and cases reported directly to NGO s like these where they work with cases everyday 

It is not hashtag trend ..prior to nirbhaya case.. majority of the rapes went unreported as the media decided to not report as no one cares. That doesn't means rapes stopped or less frequent .. and after disha case they reported all rapes in front page for five days..ten days kater another girl was killed after rape..but she was a poor daily wage worker and it went unreported in the front page..

 

You can see a dozen experience from this DB alone where women where victims for husbands hiding their sexual health issues

Women are mostly helpless in majority of the cases unlike men. A lot of women come to USA without financial support and they pay away dowry to men. They get little financially help from parents to fight legally . 

This is the scenario where women continue to suffer..but men if given the same situation, they can at least financially support their legal fee
