Plan for 3 days.

Flight - $800 per person

Hotels - $200 per day. Stay at Luzern (Lucerne) or Zurich. Zurich is more city and Luzern is more laid back with the lake and awesome views. Zurich to Luzern is 1 hr by train.

Meals - $100 - $150/day for 4.

Take a 3-day Swiss Travel pass. 2nd AC. Costs $298 per person. - Total $1200.

Additional tickets and stuff - $500.

Cuckoo clocks are famous there. Costs around 200-500$

Places to see - Rhine Falls, Jungfraujoch (Must visit. top peak of Europe), Interlaken, Geneva, Mt Pilatus, Lake Lucerne cruise, Glacier 3000 and peak walk, Mount Titlis (Desi attraction. DDLJ Movie was picturized there)

Most places are on their premium panoramic trains with big side windows through which you can see nature. Make sure you take the GoldenPass Express. You need to make a reservation a day before boarding. Other routes are good as well.

Overall - $6000 - $8000. It may be less depending on your schedule and purchases.

BTW Food is great in Europe esp Paris including desi food. It's much better than what I had in the USA. London's food is better than India's. I was surprised by the good desi food in Budapest as well. Did not eat Indian in Switzerland.

We did. It was where we had lunch. Enjoyed cold beer. Enjoyed views of Jungfrau.

For those in London, UK. There is a small Srilankan/Desi restaurant called Ganesha in Watford. Amazing food. Pakistani restaurants are good and a lot of desi restaurants. I do not remember names.

For those visiting Paris, Saravana Bhavan is a must-visit. Budget-friendly considering Paris food costs. It's way better than the one in US, London and Singapore. I haven't tried in India though.
