Thatha was not in favor of EV subsidies.. I don’t think he has any view on electric vehicles in particular except that this was part of the New Green deal at that time.. appatloo oil production kuda thagginchaaru, didn’t give permits to do drilling, to save the planet ani..

Anna thaata supporters also come from remote areas where ev vehicles are not famous. Also many of them oppose the technology change.   Thaata party cannot explicitly support EV.

Govt is encouraging people to by EV’s and they are not discouraging other cars by putting more taxes on them.. The issue was not EV’s but the New Green deal that AOc and others try to push..

Nenu cheppedhi thaatah batch, 50-55 years datin batch easy ga adopt ayitara ev vehicles ki ? Thaatah batch anta easy ga promote cheyaleru as

https://www.eenews.net/articles/whats-behind-the-republican-hatred-of-evs/#:~:text=But there's a sharp partisan,independents who say the same.

GOP voters: No way on EVs

New polling from Third Way shows that a whopping 96 percent of voters do not own an EV. And most have no plans of purchasing one in the next 10 years. The poll was conducted last month via text and online with 1,000 likely voters, with an oversample in swing states. It had a 3.1 percent margin of error.

But there’s a sharp partisan divide. Fifty-five percent of Republicans say there’s no chance at all they’d consider buying an EV in the next decade, compared to only 14 percent of Democrats and 28 percent of independents who say the same.
