Big changes to real estate market

This month, significant changes are taking place due to a legal settlement involving the National Association of Realtors. While the full impact is yet to be seen, Redfin has always supported greater transparency and competition around fees. Here's what you need to know:

  1. Buyer's Agent Fees: Buyers will now need to agree to their agent's fees before scheduling tours.

  2. MLS Compensation Changes: Offers of compensation to buyers' agents will be removed from the MLS in most markets. As a result, buyers' agent fees will increasingly be negotiated as part of the offer.
