one month grocery bills track chesi lekkalu veste following is avg costs as per inflation.  Ofcourse rice/chapati/quinoa preference, meat and fruit/snack choice would change the avg cost.

Rice 20 lbs - 80cups - 30cents/cup - 5cups/day - $1.5/day
2 vegs 2lbs each/whole chicken - $12/day
oil+thalimpu/popu+curryleaves+kothimeera/pudina+Others - $1.5/day
Curd 5lb - $8/week - $1.20/day
2trays of 18Eggs - $10/week => $1.42/day
Natural gas/power for stove = $40/mo = $1.33/day

per day lunch-dinner cost for family of 4 =~ $18.95/day =~ 568.6/mo

Healthy snack:
Fruits - 1pac apple + 1pac pear + 1pac oranges - $20/week - $2.85/day
Veg tray - $10/week - $1.42/day

Excluding breakfast total meals and snack cost =~ $23.22/day =~ $696.6/mo

Note : This is time pass thread. Dont tear cheddis or spread hatred.

I never track these expenses. Useless. The only thing we are consciously aware of is eating outside for health reasons. We prefer making everything at home with real ingredients.

If expenses are a problem, just make more money. I would rather put my energies in it :D

10-15% wastage.

Snacks esp for kids. That's a big chunk of a lot of families spend. Esp frozen snacks.

Drinks - Sparkling water, Soda, Energy drinks, etc.

Dal, Paneer, Ingrediends needed for masalas, other groceries, etc.

yeah kids snack was not included but it wouldn't be much expensive. $50 easy ga aipotundi.

Soda, energy drinks avoid chesudu better. long run assam aitham.

others can be covered in budget, personal choice.
