If you stay here, not worth especially in states with high property taxes for around 3% because all our houses will appreciate to 1M and you pay 3K for property taxes and you will left with nothing in 5-6 years

Its best to return before Kids start middle school.

We are leaving. Many are leaving. The reason why percentage wise its small is that majority don't have long term planning.

Don't take their example. 

Its like would you aim to be like the students who rank top 5 in your class or not?

 

Regarding pollution....that is a major concern.

But with Electric Vehicles prices coming down(EV car prices went down 1.5-2 Lakhs in past 1 year), a major shift is going to happen.

If you don't believe till it actually happens, you are welcome to be a failure and stay back and repent later on.

 

Already lonely life here...on top of it less interaction. Self Checkout counters, now robo taxis...next robo caregivers.

Retirement here will become miserable.

Retirement ki US best you can have a peaceful retirement life. You can go for travel hiking and no janjat happy ga 401k and ssn benefits tiskuni relax aipovachu. India velte malla aa pollution aa noisy neighbors peaceful undadu. It’s my opinion though. I ain’t going back to India in my retirement.

You are rite. But, Matter enti ante - all that luxury comes with cheap labor sadly.

Maids, Driver, Cook, Security, Instant Delivery, Food, Restaurants . . . daaniki thodu something you should be ready to encounter everyday Corruption, Pollution, Bueracracy, Casteism . . .

The reasons that remind me to get back to US after i spend a month in India.

Outside of house quality of life good in US.Inside of house with domestic help quality of life better in India. 

Of course  if you have sufficient  wealth one can make it work either place.

Leaving extended family social aspects aside.
