I have seen both equally. Depends on the wife + husband equilibrium/balance.

Mostly before marriage accounts ye continue avtai, we never had any use for joint account

In our case, all our accounts are joint. 

But I have seen in general a lot of couples have separate accounts. They all have their own arrangements on how and which account to spend money from.

- In some cases all expenses goes from Man's account

- In some cases they share

- In some cases it goes from wife's account. 

Usually, I have seen 3rd case. Mostly men take care of finances.

But the 3rd case is not Women empowerment. Man taking using wife's money to all expenses.

All major expenesss goes from my account like mortgage, car emi utilities phone bill insurances hoa etc. kids expenses daycare, private classes credit card bills goes from wife account.
