Guys.. I need a clarification.

i was in a contract job with date 10/11 as the last date. I asked (08/30) my consulting company if they could ask for an extension as they have very good relationship with my manager. 09/02 onwards my manager(white, who was very nice) showed his colors.. he started to give me stress. On Friday, I gave him the notice 09/06 with notice period. He came back and said I gave you hard time, can you stay till end of the year. I said ok. After 30 mins he came back and told me let’s have your date as 09/27. I was bit confused and told him that I will stay till 12/31. He was fine with that.. after 30 mins he came back and said let have your last date as your contract 10/11. I got really pissed and told him that 09/20 will be my last date with notice period and we exchanged some headed conversations regarding the dates and decisions. Finally he told that 09/06 is my last date.

I'm prepared for this anyway but trying to understand who is at fault.

You are correct. As a manager he should have some clarity resource planning.

Why would asking for an extension cause your manager to give you stress? Something doesn't make sense to me.

Some details and clarity missing. Notice on 09/06 with wat last date? can you elaborate more on colors? like wat did he do to cause any stress? Did any of these occur in writing? Overall, managers wont change mind once done. Not sure why you said yes once notice is given. No consistency from both parties.

Mee Iddarilo fault undi...... Both pissed off each other. But 65% his fault and 35% your fault.

Contract job lo try to avoid negotiating contract extention and dates with client. 

Your mestri will try their best as they can make money of you longer.

Avoid negotiating contract with client- exactly, I spoke to mestri on Friday and Tuesday client manager(American) told me that he spoke to Mestri(American).

last date when signing the contract is 10/11. 
notice with 2 weeks, or at will. Gave option to client Manager.
sticked to my last date as 12/31. I think something fishy between client Manager and Mestri. They wanted to bring in someone with less rate and get more margin between them.

Stress is after asking extension, after feeling the stress I told goodbye- insisted me to do something that Director wanted to offshore team to do. Manager ego clash.
